What FormLab keeps about you, why, who else sees it, and how to delete it. Last updated 9 October 2026.
FormLab is the coaching service at joinformlab.com and the FormLab apps for phones. Questions about this page go to hello@joinformlab.com.
What we keep
Your account
Your name and email address. If you sign in with a password, we keep only a one-way scrambled form of it, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. Each time you sign in we record the time, your IP address and the kind of browser or phone you used, so we can keep your account secure.
Your coaching
The programs your coach assigns you, the sets and sessions you log or skip, comments on them, and whether you opened a demo video or a coach's feedback. Messages you and your coach send each other. Videos you record of your sets, and any feedback your coach pins to them.
Your body and nutrition
Body measurements you enter, such as weight. Nutrition goals and food logs, and, if you set up your own nutrition plan, your age, height and target weight. This is health information. We use it only to show it to you and to your coach.
If you coach
Your public coach profile, logo and photos, the programs and documents you create, the people you invite by email, and records of the invoices and subscriptions you send through Stripe.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information, show you ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers. We do not send your workouts, videos or messages to an AI service. If you choose to connect an AI assistant of your own to your nutrition records, that assistant can read and change those records until you remove its access in the app.
Who else sees it
Your coach sees what you log, the videos you send, your measurements, your nutrition records and your messages. That is how coaching works here. If you coach, the people you coach see your profile and the programs and feedback you give them.
These companies run parts of FormLab for us and handle your information only to do that:
- Fly.io hosts the servers, in Amsterdam.
- Tigris stores the videos, photos and documents you upload.
- Stripe takes payments. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
- Google signs you in, if you choose Continue with Google.
- Resend delivers our emails, such as invitations and password resets.
When a coach links a demonstration from YouTube or Vimeo, that video loads from YouTube or Vimeo, which then see that you watched it.
Videos and documents you upload
Each upload is stored at a long, hard-to-guess web address. The apps only show that address to you and your coach, but anyone who is given the address can open the file. Do not share those links.
On your device
The website uses one cookie to keep you signed in. The phone apps keep the same sign-in on the phone instead. Both keep your preferences, copies of recent screens so they open quickly, and work you did without signal until it is sent. Nothing on your device is used to track you.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. This signs you out everywhere, removes you from your coach's list, closes your conversations and removes your uploaded form videos. Your email address can then be used for a new account.
FormLab keeps a history of changes so that nothing you log is lost by mistake. After you delete your account, that history is no longer linked to any sign-in and nobody can see it in the apps. To have it erased as well, email hello@joinformlab.com from the address you signed up with and we will erase it.
Who FormLab is for
FormLab is for adults. Please do not use it if you are under 18.
Open alpha
FormLab is in open alpha. Things may break and data can reset without notice. When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
